Fritz's 1st X'mas Mass

Fritz's 1st X'mas Mass
25th December 2009
St.Matias Rasul
Family Mass @ 8.30 AM

Today was X'mas time and it was the first X'mas for Fritz. We, me & my hubby, wanted to share the joy of X'mas to Fritz as a new member of the family. We went to the church nearby our house. We attended the family mass at 8.30 in the morning. We had prepared the present a day before and had wrapped it with the fancy paper so it looked nice.

Three of us entered the church and it was so crowded with the sound of children there. Then we put the present under the manger where the others children had put their presents there too.

The mass ran so silent and holy. But most of the children couldn't stay for long time inside the church. Mostly, they got out from the mass and saw some fish outside. Fritz also did the same thing... ;p

Here the pictures taken after the mass...

what a day!

what a day!
Almost a month, Fritz is having difficulty in eating his meal. Everyday I got heavy stress facing his appetite. I tried many kinds of meal to him and tried to make it easy for him, still he refused to finish his meal. He only ate for 2 or 3 spoons then I should push the spoon to him to eat it. He started lost his appetite when he was going 8th months and it was getting worse everyday. Before, he could eat for 3/4 of usual meal then two days ago he just ate for 2 spoons. Then I should fight with him to finish it and it made him lots of cries....

Today....in Christmas's eve....he can finish his 3 times meals without any cries...Yay!!

I think it's all my fault. I have plans for him, in this month, I was going to make him can eat his cereal rice without being strained. The fact, he couldn't accept it and I got so many refusal from him. Then, I realized it, so I changed my mind. I gave him the strained cereal rice again to him.

Maybe next month, I will be more careful in giving his meal. I will not do it in a rush anymore. I will start softly and smoothly.

I'm sorry, Fritz.....Momma loves you....and always wanna give you the best....;)

bath in a tub

bath in a tub
Since he was able to sit down (even I'm still holding his armpit to make him stable), I put him again on his tub during his bathing time. He didn't much enjoy it in the first day. Few days after, he tapped his left hand on the water. Then, he likes to splash the water now and likes to play with the floating things there...hahahhaaa...

The picture was taken in the 2nd day of his bathing tub day....and still not really much enjoyed it...

Sticking with stick

Sticking with stick
Fritz has been exploring Opa's stick for a long long time ago....When Opa is walking around with his stick, Fritz always put his curiosity on it. He can't take off his eyes from it.

And then his dream becomes true, he can touch the stick with his own free hands.

I didn't get why he were so wondering with the stick....ck..ck..ck...

Massage Time Nowadays

Massage Time Nowadays
Since Fritz was a baby, I always did massage time every morning as a bonding between me and him.

Then, as the time goes on, he didn't as enjoy as he was still a baby before.

Now, he became so active and always wanted to move around when I tried to get massage him.

Recently, he showed his refusal during it. He cried along the massage time nowadays and sometimes made me *grrrrr*

Inside his playpen

Inside his playpen
Sometimes I put him inside his playpen. Beside for his safety, of course, to make me easier to go here and there to do something (usually preparing the meal for him or washing his dishes) without he realized that I'm gone. He always becomes sooo busy in his playpen coz I put lots of his toys inside it to make him choosing which one is his fave ones.

Talking bout his safety, now, he moves so fast from one side to other sides and that makes us worry if he will fall down from our high bed. Putting him in his playpen, at least, it makes us a little bit unworried even he just wanna play there for few minutes.

Bye-bye dear old chair

Bye-bye dear old chair
Few days ago, Fritz was showing his eagerness to sit down rather than lay in his lazy chair during his meal time. To avoid falling down or something bad happen to him, I decided to put him on his high chair though he wasn't stable enough to sit by himself.

After few days, he got use to with his new high chair. He is able to sit nicely there.

So, his lazy chair will be old fashioned for him. Then...bye-bye dear old chair which always accompanied Fritz since he was 3 months old.

Playing with things around

Playing with things around

We don't need to buy expensive toys for children actually. With common things around us, they can explore much more than we think. I almost never bought expensive toys for Fritz as we didn't have enough budget to do. If I should buy it, I prefer the useful ones. The toys had we bought was the piano toy with lots of songs and animals' sound (he can listen more than one song and the sound of more than one animal) and the beach ball. And the cost was under one hundred rupiah of course. Heehhehe....The rest of his toys were being given from the relatives that their children have grown up already and they didn't use those anymore. Save the money for the other things it's more important than we buy the useless one, right??

So, Fritz just plays with the common things around him. Such as the remote control, fingers, pillow and bolster, paper, bottles, etc that you can find it around your house. I think is useful to introduce him with the common things around.

X'mas is coming toward us

X'mas is coming toward us
Welcoming December month, means Christmas time!

Finally, we arrive to the end of the year and will be coming the new year. I love December so much while half of people in the world celebrate Christmas together. Even Jakarta is not the one who decorate it's city with lots of decorated tree (only malls who decorate it well to attract the people to come) and snow is coming through, but I like the breeze of Christmas.

Long time ago, when I was a little, I always face the Christmas time with decorating X'mas tree (of course), going to the church with family (absolutely!) and raining time (hmmm....love it so much). And I never forgot, I always watched some X'mas movies in TV. It showed Home Alone (ughh...my favorite ones while Culkin was so cute there) and Sister Act. For me it's really complete Xmas ever!

Then during my teenage to adult time, I faced it with going to the church together with friends not with my parents anymore. Having time lots with friends and still never forgot to watch those kind of X'mas movies. Giggling each others and hanging out together with friends.

Now, my X'mas time is changed. I'm a mom and I have a duty to introduce Jesus, Our Savior, is coming to the world for us and to save us from the sin...and also Saint Claus!

Hohoho...Christmas is coming toward us!!

Being a parent...

Being a parent...
The hardest lesson that people have learned is being a parent and mom especially. Yes we can find lots of books that related to parenting ones but nothing can figure it out how to teach and grow children by facing it with the children. I mean, books contain theories and growing children isn't easy as theories, right!

Since I have Fritz, I'm trying hard to learn lots bout parenting. How to deal with a little born baby until now he is almost 9 months. I was the one who taking care of him in the day. Start from breastfeeding him (of course me is the only one right!), taking a bath and all his preparation of it (prepare the soap, shampoo, diaper, shirt, pants and the pail), changing his diaper all the time he must to change it because of poop or maybe it's so full until preparing his meals.

Sometimes it's quite easy for me but sometimes it made me frustrated. I should face him 7 days 24 hours...means everyday, everytime with Fritz. Surely, I enjoy it so much, though sometimes I really...really need my time...leisure time.

Ahh...time flies fast....and I believe, I'm gonna missed the time with him everyday when he will be a man later. When he will be hang out with his friends or maybe having a date with a girl....

Morning, Fritz

Morning, Fritz
This is Fritz's face when he woke up in the morning. Actually this wasn't exactly the first face when he had just opened his eyes. It was the face when he had woken up for almost 5 minutes after.

He usually wakes up early in the morning, not really early. He wakes up at 6.30 and the late wake is 7.30.
Sometimes he plays with Daddy after that but sometimes Daddy has gone early so left him in his bed.

7th months' menu

7th months' menu
In his 7th months old, I tried new recipes for him. He didn't like his Gasol powder anymore so, I stopped to give him that. I decided to give him new menu this month. I started on 25th October in the afternoon. I made a rice cereal for him. I choose a slow cooker to cook it and it's very simple and easy.

How to cook it:
- Prepare the slow cooker
- Take a few of rice and rinse it twice
- Get red onion, garlic, scallions and celery, chopped it
- Chop the chicken/meat/salmon roughly
- Put all together in the crockery pot with 350 ml of water inside
- Then turn into an auto position
- Wait for 4-5 hours till it cooked

Because I made the rice cereal in the night, so I just left it till morning. It means more than 5 hours and it's fine.
In the morning, when I woke up, I put some vegetables into.
Wait for half an hour then turn it off
I divided into morning and afternoon meals
When he woke up, I got the morning meal then I strained it with the strainer

Here's the vegetables that Fritz tried:
- carrots
- beans
- red spinach
- broccoli
- cauliflower
- mustard greens
- cabocha / pumpkin
- zucchini
- beans sprouts
- red beans
- sweet corn
- silk tofu
- tempe

To make it savory, put some broth into it:
- chicken
- meat
- salmon
- chicken claw

I always put rice, broth, spices and 1 kind of veggie everyday for Fritz.
The result, he liked to eat it and sometimes he finished it.

For the fruit, he has tried these:
1. Baby Orange - always be there
2. Papaya - it's a must!!
3. Pear - partner of oranges
4. Avocado - likes it even only twice I gave it
5. Banana - made him constipation, it's proved!!

I always mix 2 fruits every served
- Papaya & Orange (mostly)
- Papaya & Pear (usually)
- Avocado & Orange
- Avocado & Pear
- Banana & Orange

I ever served like these:
- Papaya-Orange-Pear
- Banana with breast milk and he totally didn't like it
- Orange with jelly and he totally refused it...I grated the jelly first.

Days by days, he showed his eagerness in eating his food and fruits and made me feel happy cooking for him.
Next month, I wanna try some menu for him and new recipes of course!

A happy mother will be!!

Advertisement.....

Advertisement.....
Recently, I noticed that Fritz really loves to see some advertisements in TV. He always stops his activity and stares at the TV to see those. The most (I noticed) favorites advertisements he loves to are the provider 3 and Samsung Corby cellular phone. He can totally stop his activities when he just only hears the tones.

I even don't know why he can admire those advertisements so much. For me, it's such only an advertisement and maybe for him, it's really so interesting for him. The others advertisements he (not really) loves are Gulaku, XL (cek beiby cek 123) and LG. What an amazing boy I have!!
