K4 : Week 8

K4 : Week 8
Fritz is currently 4 years 1 month

Language

I've got this worksheet from 3 Dinosaurs. When I saw it to Fritz, he excitedly said that he wanted to do it at that time. He always loves this kind of worksheet, maze. He easily did it as he's learned about it before. Good job, Boy!! :)

I've download this book from Education.com. Yup, we should be a member first before we succeeded to download it. LOL. Every month we had 2 free books to be downloaded. So it's good for me. :D

Fritz is able to do some worksheets from here related to 3 letters he learnt. So far, I really thanked to Reading Eggs for making Fritz is able to read. LOL

Reading Eggs

In Reading Eggs, there is a map for every level. There's 12 level and each level has 10 lessons to be completed. Every time he finishes with a level, he has to pass a simple quiz contains 15 numbers that he had learnt before. This was his very first level. He's quite good for a self learner like him. Congrats, boy!

Raz
He decided to go with Raz that day. He wanted to record his voice he said. There were two books he recorded but we couldn't send as it's being rerecord few times. I didn't know too how to send it to Tante Ophie. :P

Fritz still needed guidance in reading, however, so far he's quite good enough. Slowly but sure, he's able to read now. Great job, boy!

My little silly boy with earphones. LOL

Math

We continued our Math, Creepy Crawlers, this week. I didn't take any pictures for these worksheets. He did lots in counting the objects then pasted the number. He also made some pictures as it's mentioned. He didn't do good in drawing. LOL

Origami

We did origami again and this time we made something related with fish and their friend, whale. It's not very difficult, it's really so easy.

Unfortunately, I couldn't go to its website anymore. Sad! The web really gave lots of simple origami for young children with easy steps to be followed. :(

PE

This week we had a swimming time again but we had it in the afternoon. Fritz has already enjoyed himself in the pool. He could stay still inside alone without me aside. However, I really need to encourage him more on swimming, like a real swim not only playing with water. He's a bit taken a long time to adjust with new things and swimming is one of them. So I need time to make him learning how to swim. Pray for me, fellas! :)

Biking
This morning I decided to ask Fritz biking together. It's not only Fritz with his bike, I also rode my bike. It's really nice cycling the bike again. I couldn't remember how many years I didn't ride the bike, it's really quite long time I guess.

We're going to find the idle way where the traffic wasn't so crowded. People were busy delivering their kids to school and mostly they were in hurry, whether with their cars or bikes like us. Ugh! It's really not comfy biking in the rush hour like that.

So, we're not taking too much time, we decided to get back home. It's mostly 7 o'clock. We're going only for half an hour. LOL. Let's we do again next time, boy!

Fun

Fritz had a trip to Kebun Raya Bogor. Here's the story...

Kebun Raya Bogor

Kebun Raya Bogor
This weekend we had a public holiday. We decided to spend a day having an outdoor activity in Kebun Raya Bogor.

Actually we wanted to go there by train. I think it's gonna be a great trip if we went there by train. We'd collected all the data; the ticket price, how long the train will move, which station we should go, what time it will arrive in the station. After we considered then we decided not using a train but car.

First, it's because the next day we would have a WO again and we, of course, gonna feel tired after this trip. Then, we couldn't go mobile after that, as we wanted to have lunch time outside there. And next, if Fritz felt tired, we had to carry him on us. He's not a baby anymore and he's heavy now. So...we decided to go there just by car. :D :D

We started our trip early in the morning, 6 AM. We woke Fritz up and he was so excited. Of course, he didn't take a bath. He preferred to change his outfit only.:D

Then the trip had begun..

Fritz and his breakfast, a bread with chocolate's sprinkles.

The traffic thankfully in control. We arrived at Bogor around 7.30 and we had to find a parking lot. There's a bit quarrel between me and Ali when looking for it. Finally, Ali decided to park his car in McD's parking lot.

We just needed to walk a bit before crossing the way to the front gate of Kebun Raya Bogor. They had celebrated their {a hundred and so on, I didn't remember} birthday, so we're just paid a half price for the ticket and Fritz didn't pay. It costed 14,000 rupiahs. Wohooo....

We entered the gate and we had a map in front of us. It's a guidance for us as KBR is very a BIG place to walk.
The map!

Fritz and Papa, our first route.

Fritz and Mama with the nice background view

We're just walking around. The nice place to have picnic is in Astrid Garden. It's a very nice place where everyone put their picnic basket and had leisure time there. Lots of people around here. They were playing ball with kids, cycling the bike or even just sitting and looking around.

Father and Son moment

Me and my big butt LOL

I asked Ali to capture me from behind just to see how big is my butt. :D Then it's really became a nice picture. Hahahahaha.....

Fritz had captured us. Nice!

We're keep moving till we found a Red Hanging Bridge, the phenomenal bridge. Many couples have their wedding photos with it's as the background. Never ask me to pass it, okay! The river down there was very heavy. So scary!!

Papa and Fritz in the Red Hanging Bridge

Mama and Fritz, just in front of the bridge
Fritz said to me, "Don't be afraid, Mama! It's just a bridge." Yeah it's only a bridge, but please looking down, son. Ughhh......scary!! LOL

Fritz and Mama with Aline and Luke

One of my friend also was in KBR to have outdoor activity with her 1st son, Kenzie. Kenzie is an autism boy and really needs an outdoor activity every weekend. So here we were with Aline, my gorgeous and adorable friend with two boys. She's so pretty, isn't she? ^_^

So, we went back to Astrid Garden to meet Aline and her kids. In front of Astrid Garden, Fritz had his ice cream that we bought for 2,000 rupiahs only. The man who sell it was very old and he was so thankful that we bought his ice cream. I always feel pity for an old man who still has his spirit for earning money for his life, not only asking from his children.

After Fritz finished with his ice cream, he said he wanted to play with Kenzie. He ran straight to Kenzie that the field was a bit high and low. I do really love this moment where Fritz ran so powerful to go up there seeing Kenzie.
We're just having a short meeting with Aline as she had to pick up Christian, her hubby in Sentul. As it's getting noon, so we also decided to go out from KBR together.

We had our lunch in a small restaurant, Ngohiang Gg Aut, but it's very famous. My boys were so hungry so much, both were gobbling their lunch very fast. LOL

Fritz and Papa having their lunch together at Ngohiang Gg. Aut, Bogor

Mama and Toge Goreng, yum!

After we had our lunch, we went to the in front of the restaurant. There are lots of roadside hawkers who sell many kinds of snacks along the way. I bought Manisan Pala for my Mom and me. Then, we decided to buy Asinan Bogor for my parents and Roti Unyil for Fritz.

...and the trip was over. We went back to Jakarta around 2 o'clock. The traffic was very friendly to us, while  the traffic wasn't to Puncak.

We didn't need an expensive trip for having fun. With less than 250,000 rupiahs we'd already had our day. What inexpensive trip!! Wohooooooo..............

Back to Work: Freelancer of Wedding Organizer

Back to Work: Freelancer of Wedding Organizer
My first job after I graduated from college was being a Wedding Organizer (WO) staff. A friend from my Pastoran community, Peggy, is running this field as her main job. She asked me to join with her as her personal assistant. It didn't take any longer for some reasons. I worked for her only for a month in 2005.

FYI, I met Ali for the first time because of this job and because of her. :D Ali is one of her friends in a group from college. I met him when one of their friends were getting married in Kelapa Gading Sport Club. I helped her as a freelance and Ali with the rest of the ganks were busy as a part of the wedding. Few weeks after that, he called me and you know the rest...LOL

Ok, back again! ;P

Few days ago, Peggy was messaging me via BBM. She asked me to join with her team this Sunday. Wow! It's a bit surprised for me as I didn't work with her for almost 8 years. I accepted her offering. I challenged myself to be a Wedding Organizer freelance again.

Together with Ali, we helped a couple in their wedding. It really look like we're back to few years ago when we had that day. I always love when the wedding is happened, everything is very romantic.

We started our work at 7 AM but we had to wake up at 4 AM for taking Ali's shirt at our apartment first. I left Fritz with my parents and for sure he was so happy. Fritz said that he's going to have some fun with them. LOL.

Our first place was going to the groom's house in Muara Karang. Then, we went to Aston Hotel, Pluit, to meet the bride. Next, they had the holy matrimony at MBK, Sang Timur School. We're back to hotel again, but it's only me and Peggy. The rest of the team was going to the venue for the wedding ceremony at MGK, Kemayoran. We did nothing in hotel, just killing the time by chitchatting.

Suddenly, one of the team said that we had to get the photo at the groom's house. It's just like a roller coaster inside the car with Peggy. She's driving like crazy. Luckily, we didn't run out of time to join with the couple and their family to the venue. In the end, with our last energy we're facing the party for almost 4 hours. Fiuh..what a job!

All the guests were heading home and we're still doing our job, tidying up all the things and making sure everything was back to the family. We arrived around 12 and Fritz had fallen asleep. We didn't meet him today.

Yes, we're totally exhausted! However, we really had a great team who always facing it with fun. It's really fun, surely. I can't wait to join with them next week. See ya next week, guys!

K4 : Week 7

K4 : Week 7

Fritz is currently 4 years 1 month

Phonic

We continued our phonic time using Basic Phonics Skills from Evan Moor's book.

He learned to understand the concept of Beginning, Middle and End. He's quite good with it though he still needed me to guide him. He also learned how to complete the pictures by drawing the missing parts. His drawing was so cute though it wasn't looking so nice. LOL.

Reading Eggs

One day, I've a chat with my friend, Tante Metta. I asked her how to teach her boy, Benn, to read as he can read since he's 3,5 years. She said she used an online learning tools, Reading Eggs to teach him. Then she suggested me to use it too for Fritz. There's a 2 weeks trial from it and she added a redeem coupon for 35 days trial. That's really sound great, huh?! I showed it to Fritz and he put lots of interest on it. Yeah...great!

Math

We continued our Math using Skill Sharpeners Math from Evan Moor

We did the Creepy Crawler's section this time. He had to count the bugs, circle the big or small bugs, continue the pattern, dot the number into a lady bug, make graph of the bugs in the picture, do the addition and subtraction. Great job!

Practical Life

Fritz said he wanted to help Papa changing our bed linen. He usually just played; whether he jumped on the bed or he became a busy body person while we're putting on the bed linen. This time he's really trying to help Papa. He uncovered the bolsters and pillows' bed linen then he put it on again with the clean one. Here's the picture when he's trying to do it. Good job, boy!

It's time for him to use the chopstick. I gave him poms and chopstick and he's enjoying so much. He played with it again and again for few days ahead. He pretended cooking something and placing the tray into the oven. Of course it's just in his imaginary oven. LOL

It's time for him to learn how to put off his shirt by himself. After years I asked him to do so and he always showed some refusal, he wanted to do it in the picture. Finally! Congrats, boy, you can do it!!

PE

Yeah, he's enjoying so much his swimming time now. This time, he met a baby girl in the pool who loved to play water so much. Fritz was looking at her in this picture as he's a baby lover. He always puts some interest with babies and tries to pamper them as his baby. How nice he is! :)

This morning I decided to ask Fritz biking around the complex. He got a morning shine from Mr Sun. :) It's just taken not more than a half hour as I had to prepare some things for Opa. So we had to go home soon.

Samsung Galaxy Grand

Samsung Galaxy Grand

Let's me introduce! My new mobile phone....Samsung Galaxy Grand. *big grin*

I've always dreamed having it for several weeks. I've had the brochure in my agenda. Before I was going to sleep, I always took it and pray for having it. Hopefully one day I have a brave to have it. LOL

So this weekend, I collected all my brave then decided to buy it, of course with 12 month paid. Yeaaah!! :D

For sure, I want this phone not for being stylish and showing off. I really need to enrich myself with information during my shortly time. I don't have much time for sitting in front of my laptop and browsing lots now. So, I really need something mobile that easily to get more and I think it's the best. No offense! :)

K4 : Week 6

K4 : Week 6

Fritz is currently 4 years 1 month

Earth Week

This was the third week we're doing the Earth Week theme and it's final. LOL

Pasting the plants

Doing simple addition with pegs

Counting the simple subtraction

Pasting number puzzle, 10 - 100
Bible
We continued our Bible lesson. This week, we started with Adam and Eve. He learnt about the first man in the earth.
Searching the names, he still needed help doing it

Color the apple tree that Eve ate it

Writing the scramble letters

Actually, we had to make this into a lapbook, but we still didn't make it. :P

Origami

This time, he preferred to make transportation origami. He chose the Shinkansen, rocket and a car. Shinkansen is a high-speed train in Japan and is the easiest among 3 of them. He still needed help doing it. When we're doing it, Papa went home and saw us making it. As usual, he always draws the face in ever single of his creations. LOL

Tehnology
We've got a month free trial from More.Starfall.com. I've got the info from one of my best friend in Homeschool's group, Kak Ophie. She told us about the info and of course I was so interested with something free. :P

Practical Life

This week, he had to cut the zigzag lines. It's quite difficult for him as he's asking for help to hold the paper for him. Though it's kinda hard for him, he made it successfully. Great! Then, he asked one more paper again to be cut. He chose to cut a bed with a girl sleeping on it and a blanket to be put on the girl. He pretended to cover the blanket for the sleeping girl. :D

Learning Toys

That night in our apartment, Fritz didn't do much. He's trying to keep himself busy. Then he asked me to get the blocks that he couldn't reach it. I just let him playing all by himself and taddaaa.....he played with his imagination and he showed me these. He said he's making buildings with slides to get out from that building. (y) Love his buildings' model!!

Miscellaneous

He got a balloon when we were at a mall. He asked for times to play with us. As our apartment is small space, it's not enough to play with this balloon. I remembered I've ever seen on of my friend, Metta, giving an activity with balloon to her son, Benn. She asked Benn to draw on the balloon. So, I did the same thing, I asked Fritz to draw on his balloon as the media for his imagination. Uhuuy! He was being busy for more than half an hour drawing what he wanted to draw on it.
