Chinese New Year 2014

Chinese New Year 2014
Chinese New Year's Eve

My family had our routines back, having dinner in CNY's eve. We had a simple dinner together, not going to the restaurant and having grand dinner, just at home - 6 of us.

My mom prepared these meal. We've got a bowl of noodles, a plate of broccoli with chicken minced, a plate of roasted duck, a plate of roasted chicken, a bowl of fish balls, and a bowl of boiled milkfish with soy sauce.

Fritz wore a new shirt from Popo and he chose to attend this dinner's eve by using a bow tie. LOL

It's us under the colorful lantern. Look at my silly brother! He wore improper clothes. OMG!

Though it's very simple but I really thanked to my mom for preparing this moment back after few years gone.

The Day!

Early in the morning, both of us were busy filling the hong pao. As Popo isn't with us anymore, my MIL decided not celebrating with her side anymore. It's sad actually. How I missed her so much! So we didn't need to prepare the hong pao for my MIL's family anymore.

Fritz got a hong pao from me

As usual, before we went to the relatives, we had to do the routines. I and Ali to my parents, my brother to my parents, Fritz to Opa and Oma, my brother to me, and the last Fritz to us.

Family pictures

Done with the routines then we're ready to dig some money! LOL.

I love these food - from Ali's paternal family

Fritz in his age could manage himself very nice. He said "Gong Xi" to every elder he met. He said thank you after he got the hong pao. Very thankful for his good manner this year.

Welcome Horse year...let's rock the year!!

K4 : Week 43

K4 : Week 43

Fritz is currently 4 years 10 months

We still had bad weathers for these 2 weeks. There's nothing much we could do. Honestly, it's hard to go out and do some activities during these weeks. Flood and rainy days during these weeks.

Learning Toys

He loves to play Lego Duplo by himself while I was busy in the kitchen preparing for lunch. He sometimes created with his imagination. Today, he made a spaceship he said.

Miscellaneous

For a week, he always had his breakfast, lunch and dinner in this table. Actually the table itself had quite no longer used by Opa. Before he made this table for helping him practicing with his left hand. Then, he forgot to use it for yearly.

Fritz had just found that it's really used for table. So, he chose to eat his meal there as in cafe. LOL

Fun

My boy is getting braver!

For quite some times I've never accompany him anymore playing in this area. He always goes here with Papa while I'm having private tutor class. When I'm finished, I'll call both then they will go to the car.

As Papa now is getting busier with his job, I let Fritz going with me to my private classes. After I'm done, we went to the mall.

How I was surprised seeing him could climb up these stairs by himself. I knew I've just underestimated his brave. I know who he is. He's not quite braver like others. He's my slowly gross motor skill boy. He always calculates every single steps he moves. So it's really a good improvement for him climbing these stairs. Proud of you!

Learning Toys
with his Lego's cars

Few months ago, Shell had a promotion - buying V-Power 30 liters then we could redeem a Lego car for 40K rupiah. We don't use any gas from Shell so we couldn't get the cars

Recently, Shell closed the promotion but they still had lots of cars to be redeemed. Then they put some requirements to get the cars by buying 2 liters for motor and we could get the cars - still for 40K rp. Wohooo...good offering!

So we collected the Lego. The first one was the Ferari and the second was the other red cars.

The third

The fourth

The fifth

Papa bought the last three together and we made that in the same day. How happy he was!!

Badly,we didn't get the truck. It's finished! :(

Fun

Kiddos did the charity for flood victims. Here's the story...

Mom on March : Charity for Flood Victims

Mom on March : Charity for Flood Victims
Too bad that Jakarta was having flood disaster again this year and it's getting worse than last year. For some area maybe it's getting better but for some areas are getting worse. They had to face almost 4 meters height of flood in their area. OMG!

As it's getting worse, one of Momarch's members asked to raise money for the flood victims. All of us were agreed to do it.

After we raised some money till the due date, we went to buy some things they would need. Three of us preferred to join with Gaby and her family in his Alphard. We went to Lotte Mart to buy some stuffs. We met Lina and her family too there. How kids learn how to put their empathy in this condition though they were busy playing each others. LOL

Done with the stuffs, we decided to donate at that day. We're going around our neighborhood and it's really hard to choose which area we should give our donation. Then we ended up to put all the donations in our car. So they finally came to our {parents's} house.

In our way back to their home as we put our motor there, we listened to the radio and we heard a name that Gaby was calling for many times before. So there we're going to put our donation.

We're hurried up back home and let Fritz staying at home with my parents then we went to the venue. It's just take not more than 10 minutes to donate our stuffs. How they thanked to us for our help. It's not much actually but it's really meant to be for them. They had stayed there for 9 days and their house were still flooded 1 meter. If I could help them more....

Cooking

Starting the new year spirit, let's cooking something!

Fritz loved to watch McDonald's toys in YouTube. How he amazed that toy when it could make a nugget. He showed it to me and asked for making that kind of nuggets. Actually it's a very simple. Here's the recipe:

Prepare:
- bread
- corn flakes
- honey
- cookie cutter

How to make it:
1. Crash the corn flakes using the rolling pin, separate in a plate
2. Make some shapes in your bread using the cookie cutter, we chose Mickey
3. Dip the Mickey's bread into the honey
4. Then dip in the corn flakes crumbs

Tadaaa....we're done! It's a simple nugget ala Fritz. Enjoy it...^_^

Funday With Kombat to Samuel Orphange

Funday With Kombat to Samuel Orphange
Kombat had a secret mission this time. From the information we heard from one of our person, there's an orphanage which the operational isn't in a proper way.

A day before we went there, one of our founder and her niece were visiting this place for surveying. When both of them arrived, they were being treated unfriendly by the person there. They captured some pictures that showed how poor they treated the children.

Today, I with Fritz and few person from Kombat gathered in McDonald, Serpong, as our main point meeting. Then we went to the venue. We were shocked how the owner of the orphanage greeted not very warmly to us. He asked to one of us what we're going to do there. Geez! Of course, we're going to have some fun with the kids!

Then that man asked the other man to prepare the mat for us while in front of the house, in the corner area, there's a 4 year boy crying. Few minutes later, we're inside the house waiting for the man preparing mats for us, the first man who greeted us before pulling the crying boy from outside to inside through the other side of the house. He put the boy into a room, in a second, he opened the door and asked that boy to sit with others. I didn't get idea what he did to that boy. Couldn't imagine more!

We sat in the mat together with the children. Just a second then the children were not in control. Some of them were busy strangling each other while the others said some impolitely words to us. We tried to control the condition but it's very useless. We really couldn't do anything with them.

To be honest I put my pity on them. FYI, they sleep in the mat we sat every day, every night. No bed or even any room for them. The clothes they wear seemed not being washed for days. They also don't get proper food. Every day they eat instant noodles instead of vegetables or fruits. OMG!

What's inside the owner's head, huh?! They build an orphanage with totally wrecked inside. No room, no bed, no proper food and no clean clothes for the children. They also don't have any good sanitation.

Updates 21st Feb 2014
One of my friend said that they had moved to the new location, new building. I hope they are well treated by the owner now as they are having new environment. Pray the best for the children there. I really couldn't imagine there's an orphanage that don't have any heart like that.

Happy New Year 2014!

We had our own party by making shabu-shabu and seeing fireworks through our apartment. Fritz didn't like the loud sound from the fireworks so it's the best decision just staying at home. :D

Happy New Year, may this year bring us more luck and healthier. GBUs!

Holigram Program

Our holiday program for this Christmas Edition had over this week. This was the last day for all the kids. We just had 3 kids to celebrate our last day, minus Celine {she was preparing for going to Canada this month}. So the farewell was a bit silent for us.

The three kiddos finished their party hats and continued to have their own party by sharing their food while waiting for the chocolate melted in the kitchen. We were going to make choco corn flakes. The result wasn't good looking enough as the chocolate wasn't melting very nice. However, the kiddos enjoyed so much! LOL

We're having our last day picture together with the moms also. Thanks for joining our holiday program, friends!!

We decided to go to Lembang in our first day in 2014. More story here...

Field Trip : Lembang

Field Trip : Lembang
Our first day in 2014 was filled by going to Lembang, Bandung. My MIL asked us to go there with her and my BIL. We went so early to avoid the heavy traffic jam in Bandung. We started our trip today at 6 AM from my MIL's house.

The first place we went through was Kartika Sari to buy some snacks there. I just bought a pack of cheese roll. It's quite expensive actually, it costs 40K rupiah for 10 cheese rolls inside the box. Then we continued to Prima Rasa to buy the other snacks. I bought a loaf of brownies, a pack of durian molen and a picnic roll.

As we didn't get our breakfast, I decided to have porridge along our way out from Prima Rasa. I shared the porridge with Fritz.

We continued our trip to St Maria Fatima's church in Lembang. I didn't put my heart here but I cried in a small chapel there. I couldn't hold my burden anymore. I didn't know how to express what I felt just crying.

Then we went to Susu Lembang Kencana near the church. The price for every meal isn't too expensive, however, it's too bad that they don't maintain the area very well. They have a very big space to be explored as tourist area. I think they will be more famous if they maintain it. Maybe they can provide flying fox and so many facilities for children to play there.

We ordered a strawberry yogurt, a chocolate yogurt, a hot choco milk and a plate of grilled glutinous. For three meals costed not more than 50K rupiah. Cheap! When I and Fritz went to the back of the spacious area, I just saw 3 cows in the field. They even didn't have more cows. They really need a change for their place.

Next destination was going to De Ranch. It's a very recommended place to go. They had a big area for their ranch. With a 5K rupiah for the entrance, we get a great scenery as the back ground of the ranch and breathe a very clear air.

posed!

Fritz chose to play this boat. He played more than half an hour. The rule is 15 minutes. :P

Posed with the team

us!
My MIL insisted to go to Floating Market. It's quite near from De Ranch but the traffic was already traffic. It took more than an hour to get there.

Finally we arrived after we had fight to get the car park in the middle of the crowded of people who wanted to get inside the Floating Market. We had to park our car in front of someone's shop. Geez!

The entrance costed 10K for every person. Bandung has lots of public area to explore and they know it so they always ask for the entrance fee for it. Gosh!

OMG! Tons of people were here!! SO crowded! We even could enjoy the place, except of course my MIL. :P There's nothing we could do here. We're just ordered for some snack only not a lunch for us. Besides, we had to change our money with the coin as the pic below. The coin costs 5K and 10K and we can't exchange it if we don't use it anymore. Not a very recommended place to go!

The trip was over. We had to face more than 3 hours to go home passing Sadang not the highway. We reached home almost in the middle of night without any good breakfast, great lunch or even simple dinner. Then we ended with instant noodles before we slept. *eyes rolling*
