HS: 3rd week

HS: 3rd week
The summary:
His 3rd week wasn't going smoothly. My Dad had been in the hospital for the 4th times and he just went home on Wednesday.

Tuesday, we spent our day on the hospital. We waited on the child's playroom in the child clinic downstairs. There were few children playing and Fritz was the smallest boy among them. He just played with the house plastic there as it was the only one he could play safely while the rest of children were busy taking over each other with the toys there. I decided to choose the house plastic and he can learn his gross motor skill there. I put him on the bridge so he could walk by holding the side of the bridge. He's a little bit scared to walk though I had cheered him up.

Wednesday, I decided to go around the complex in the afternoon with my brother using his motorcycle. Using his hat and shoes, he stood up in my bro's back and hold his shoulder. He was so excited. We took half an hour going around here and there. He learned his environment.

Friday, I showed some farm animals through my computer. Actually, he had seen those animals yesterday through my mom's laptop. So today, I showed him up again and he looked so enthusiast seeing those animals. Computer can be the other media for a 1 year child though he was busy with the keyboard and mouse and the things around than the pictures itself :)

HS: 2nd week

HS: 2nd week
The summary:
In his 2nd week, he shows lots of progress.

He knows the concept of open and close now. I played this concept during his meal time. We opened and closed his water bottle. He liked it and replied well.

His vocabularies improves fast. He knows some animals now, such as fish, crab, duck, lizard, cat and dog of course. When he saw the picture of crab in the TV, he pointed the crab that he has on his little pillow. He also can point the right object when I asked which one the fish is. For the duck, he flapped like wings when he saw the picture of duck.

For the primary color, he just needs time to recognize it.

This week, I did the practical life also. I started with pouring the water using the jug. I didn't have any jugs, so I did with two glasses and we played it during bathing time. He didn't really like to play with water, so it wasn't really success. The next day, I played with pouring the big things using spoon. I gave him two small plastic bowl with beads and a spoon to play with. He just loved the spoon and tried a little bit playing with it. Needs practice more...

Activities time, I introduced him with crayons and I wasn't in the right time. He almost fell asleep so he was a little bit cranky, so I just tried to recognize him how to do with crayon only. Next day, I've gotten an idea to do in the afternoon suddenly. I wanna make a robot shape. So, I cut some origami paper then introducing Fritz with a glue and how to paste.

On Friday, we went to the supermarket and visit one of my friend that has delivered her baby.

We really enjoyed the time....yihaaaa....

Art: Using Crayon

Art: Using Crayon
Objectives:
- develop his gross motor skill
- learn more colour through crayon

Preparation:
- few blank paper
- crayon (12 colors)
- used newspaper

How to do:
1. put the used newspaper on the floor, so the floor will not dirty of the crayons later
2. Put the blank paper and crayons on it.
3. Ask him to get any kinds of colour and guide him to do on the paper not everywhere.

Result:
Because it was the 1st time for Fritz using crayon, he did't know how to do with his crayon and no wonder he became so angry when I was trying to guide his hand to the paper. Just show it that he can do anything with crayon, such as colouring and drawing.
