Field Trip : Puncak

Field Trip : Puncak
This Lebaran holiday we spent a day to go to Puncak. Together with my MIL and BIL, we went there very earlier in the morning around 5AM to avoid heavy traffic around there.

The first spot we went was Gunung Mas. It's a plantation of tea and it's very breezy in the morning. When we arrived it's around 7.30 and they hadn't opened yet. I and Fritz decided to have breakfast first waiting they opened the gate.

I took it from the window car when we had breakfast. Gorgeous!

It's us...

Mr Ali!! ^_^

Walking through the tea plantation

Seeing snail there

Lee's family

He sneezed and the bubble came out from his nose. LOL

Seeing ants built their home. He took more than 10 minutes watching it.

After that, we went up to Cibodas as Akhiu Awun and families were going to stay there for few days. A night before he asked Ali whether we wanted to join with them or not. Actually we decided to join with them but the fact I preferred not as I didn't very comfy with the place. It's dark and damp. I believe I couldn't sleep that night in that kind of place.

As Ali would go the next day, on Saturday, I decided not to stay that night and preferred to go home lately. For wasting our day, we went to Green Apple Resort. There's a place for families to have fun and it's really crowded.
Cycling the water duck. Fritz was so happy as it's his first time.

It's going afternoon, so we went back to villa where Akhiu's stay. Before, we went to Cibodas to see around but my MIL and BIL wanted to buy things in that market. It's quite near from the villa, just took few meters. No wonder how breeze there.

Swimming time! All of them were scarry with the water..it's pretty damn cold!! LOL

Eating Indomie

Here's the view from the rooftop, full foggy!

We went back to Jakarta around 11 PM. Thankfully no traffic at all and we arrived safely at our apartment at 2 o'clock in the morning. What a bless!

Science

I've just finished cooking for lunch then we saw lots of marching ants near the stove. I asked Fritz to get his magnifying glass to see what they did on a corn I left. It's fun to see them working together. Simple learning!

Fun

After my Saturday private class, we and my aunty's family had to meet one of my friends to discuss about a house in her house at Lippo Karawaci. Several hours after that, we're so starving and decided to go to the nearby mall. As Fritz wanted to eat pizza, so we rushed to Pizza Hut. Badly, we had to wait for 11 guests before we had our seats. It took so long, our tummy really needed to be filled. Then we decided to eat at Yoshinoya.

Mall was absolutely so crowded at that time as it's fasting months. We're in the wrong time they waited for their void fasting. It's really not a great decision we went to the mall. :D

After we had our dinner in small table for 6 persons, we said goodbye to my aunty's family. Before we went home, I wanted to have a treat for myself. I ordered Sour Sally. Look so yummy, wasn't it?! :9

Another treat from Papa in Angel-in-us Coffee with a voucher from a great deal website, Living Social. Yeaahh...

K4 : Week 17

Fritz recently 4 years 4 months

This week, we didn't much do as I was busy with my online shop. There's lots of things to be done as last week I was totally spend days at the funeral home.

Reading Eggs
Today, we had a replacement test in Reading Eggs. Finally we could join with Reading Eggs with special price for homeschoolers. I really wanted to say thank you to one of my homeschooler's friend, Kak Ophie. I joined with Reading Eggs only for 200K rupiah.

As we had new account, Fritz needed to have a test first and the result was he's in level 6. Great!

Math

"What time is it, Mama?" {Jam berapa sekarang?}
"What day is today, Mama?" {Hari apa sekarang?}

Recently, he's quite busy asking about time and day. It related with the movie he wanted to watch in Disney Channel, Cars. As he's getting better in his English, he could read the day and time. Then he couldn't stop asking me about the day and time every day until the movie was playing.

I think it's a great start to let him know more about time. I printed some clock's worksheets for him. He's quite okay and excited to learn it. Great!

K4 : Week 16

K4 : Week 16
Fritz is currently 4 years 3 months

We had a bad news, Pothai passed away. So during this week, we had to spend few days in funeral house. So sad not having her with us anymore. Mourning week...

Fritz learnt lots of things during this funeral. It's gonna be his first time seeing dead body. He knew that Pothai had passed away, means she slept forever and met Jesus in heaven {though he doesn't know the meaning of heaven exactly}. He was so curious when Pothai was being put in the coffin. He looked into the coffin and saw the ceremony. It's a learning for him.

For three days, he spent his whole days with his uncles, aunties and grandparents. He absolutely was so happy playing along the days with them. Learns to know more about family.

Another lesson that he got was cremation. Pothai was being burried with her coffin. Waiting for her ashes and releasing her in the sea.

May God bless her in heaven till we meet again....love you, Pothai....

Rest In Peace, Popo

Rest In Peace, Popo
Wednesday morning, around 10 AM, I shocked hearing a bad news from Ali that her grandmother, we called Popo, had passed away. I couldn't believe it. I knew this news would come sooner or later in couple months but not sooner like this.

Her condition was not really good since April. She's getting thinner days by days and had refused to eat any food or even milk. She looked totally weak. She even couldn't move her body anymore. She's really needed help in everything. I think it's the best time for her to go.

After I heard that news, I said to Ali that I wanted to go to his uncle's house to see her. I really wanted to see her for last time. When I almost arrived, I saw her uncle's car went out from his way. He said to me that Popo had been gone away with ambulance to Jelambar, the funeral home. He asked me whether I wanted to join with his car or just went there by myself. I preferred to go there by my bike.

I rushed to Jelambar hoping to see her for the last. Badly, she had already in mortuary. I didn't have any brave to see her corpse there, I was too coward :p. So I waited with the rest of family talking about the procedure this and that then we went home as we couldn't do many things till Iie came from Hongkong.

Popo is my mom in law's mom. She has 4 siblings. Her big sister, Iie Ahan, Ali's aunt from Hongkong. She goes to Indonesia very often recently to see her mom's condition. Then, my mom in law is the second daughter. The rest are 3 uncles, my mom in law's brother that we called Akhiu; Akhiu Awun, Akhiu Afung and Akhiu Aliong.

Iie came that night and had picked up by Ali. Both of them were rushing to funeral home to know more about the procedure. Then Ali delivered Iie to Fave hotel and he went home around 1 AM.

The next day, on Thursday, all of us gathered in funeral home. In Chinese tradition, we believed in feng shui and it said that Popo had to be put in the coffin around 3-5 PM. Though Popo was Catholic but we had to follow the tradition. At the same time, we also had to pick up Pastor for the Requiem mass. We faced a bit of lack communication as Pastor wasn't at his place at that moment. Thankfully, we had Pastor with us and we could have Requiem mass then. That night, we had to close the coffin. So sad couldn't see her face anymore.

For few days, all the members of the family had to spend along the day at the funeral home together. It's really bad to know that we never had this moment when Popo was alive. To be honest, I didn't want it's over.

On Sunday, we really had to say goodbye forever to Popo. All of her children decided to cremate her at Dadap crematorium. It's the end of her journey in this world. Goodbye, Popo...until we meet again one day....
