Nursery : Fever, Flu and Cough Week

Fritz is currently 35 months

This week was totally hectic with his illness.

Starting from Sunday night, he couldn't fall asleep as he got lots of sputum in his lungs. Then in the morning, he was very sleepy and got fever. Along the day, he became so cranky and refused to eat his meals. Actually, we decided to bring him to St.Carolus Hospital but I didn't want to wake him up as he slept very deep. So, we didn't go to the doctor and preferred to put a bowl of hot water with cajuput oil inside our room. Very pity seeing him like that!

In the afternoon, we decided to go to my parents house. In the middle of our way, my brother picked up us. Then, we went to Dr.Yossy in Teluk Gong. He looked so pale and limp. He's having a high fever. She gave us some medicine. After he drank it, he slept till morning.

Thankfully, he woke up very healthy in the next day. He also could play his favorite game online in my laptop. As I saw he's getting healthy, I agreed when my Mom asked us to join with them in searching house. Badly, he had a high fever when we arrived home in the afternoon. I really felt terribly bad mom!!

On Wednesday, he still got his fever. Then we decided to check his blood. We were driven by my brother. He didn't feel any comfy when the nurse had tried to get his blood. He cried very loudly. It's the first time he had to feel like that. The result itself wasn't too bad but also wasn't too good. Dr Yossy who checked the result said that he still had to drink all the medicine she'd given.

The next day, on Thursday, he's getting better. He showed his cheerfulness again. So I decided to go working.

And the bad news came again in the next day, on Friday. Suddenly, he got fever again. His temperature was going up again. I was so panic that day. Then, I decided to bring him to the nearby hospital, Puri Indah Hospital with Dr Chintya. The doctor even couldn't find any problems with him, just problems with his throat. However, she suggested to inpatient him there to check more about his on-off fever. I think it's not a great idea, we chose to reject her suggestion and preferred to bring him home. She wrote the receipt and we went home.

He's really fighting with his fever that day. His temperature was 39,2 degree. He just ate a little and looked so pale and weak. He just wanna eat bread only and refused to drink milk. He preferred to sleep along the day.

It's really the hardest week for us. Thankfully, he's getting good in Saturday. He's back to normal and cheerful again. And the most important thing is he wanna eat his meals again.
