Pre-Nursery : Cars Week

Pre-Nursery : Cars Week
Fritz is currently 26 months 1 week

This week, we didn't continue with the letter as he was looking so bored with those. So I decided to take a little rest from it. We did the Cars week as he's so falling in love with everything about Cars. I took the material from 1+1+1 blog.

Cars Activities
*Matching the Shape*
He starts to recognize some shapes. He was also so happy when he saw that there's a lot of Cars' characters inside those shape. He knows mostly except the square, rectangle and hexagon. He's also willing to match those.

*M for McQueen and Mater*

He was enjoying himself to do this activity. He wanted to apply the dough by himself as it's Mater and McQueen, his fave one. Then he recognized it well the letter M. ^^

*Tracing *

He loved doing this tracing lines, however, he was unsuccessfully tracing the other lines except the straight ones. He wasn't still capable doing the zigzag and wavy lines. He's willing to learn it though it's still quite difficult one for his little fingers. ^^

*Counting Cars*

Of course he didn't do all this worksheet by himself. He also couldn't able to count the object nicely. However,I'm so proud of him that he knows the numbers now. When I mentioned the numbers, he could point to the right ones! *yay*

Practical Life
*Peel the eggshells*
He tried to peel the eggshells though he didn't make it out. It's a little difficult for his little fingers. At least, he wanted to do it. ^^

Learning Toys
*Duplo Blocks*
This week, he was so into playing with blocks. He tried to make the tallest tower by joining all the single blocks. Then he pulled down and bang! He giggled loud....

I made him a bed with stairs. He used his imagination by putting Mr Bear to sleep there. He also added Sheep and Horse to sleep together with Mr Bear. He really enjoyed his time playing the role play recently.

*Cars Puzzle*
As the theme was Cars Week, he asked me to play with this puzzle. He tried his best to complete it and he did it with a little help from me. ^^

Miscellaneous
*Taking pictures*
Taking pictures using camera is a big hit for Fritz recently. When I tried to captures some poses of him, he showed his refusal and asked the camera. Then, he tried to capture some pics of us. And this was his perfect pics he's taken while the rest of all were blur, even we couldn't recognize what pics were those. ;p

Fun
*Trial at Bumble Bee Preschool*

We had a trial in one school named Bumble Bee Preschool. It's in Permata Buana. As they want to open it near my neighborhood, some of my friends asked me to join the trial with them. Together with Ms Yulis and Raphael and Ms Lina and Ethan, we agreed to join the trial. We met them on the spot.
We joined with the 2nd class on 10 AM. The class itself wasn't big enough. However, I was falling in love with the toys they provided. Those looked as the same as I saw in some home school blogs. I believed they'd bought those from abroad.

I also like the curriculum they held. They take Montessori for it and I'm so falling in love with Montessori.

Overall, I loved the school so much but the fee is quite expensive for me. I still I consider it for Fritz to join the class next school year. ;(

There's a little accident happened to Fritz. Suddenly Ethan hit Fritz during Mandarin class without any clear reasons. When I saw that Fritz was holding the eggs, then I knew that was the reasons as Ethan was the first time who played with those. Then Laoshi took all the eggs, few minutes later the eggs were on Fritz hands. Actually Fritz got those from another teachers who got the eggs from Laoshi.

I didn't join the class till the end. I decided to get out from the class as Fritz wasn't enjoying his time again because he's sleepy.

*Attending Wedding Party*
Joining with Mom with her friends in a wedding party.

*Kids on March*

Rubby and Iin Wed, Jiska's Brother Wedding...

Rubby and Iin Wed, Jiska's Brother Wedding...

Jiska's brother, Rubby was getting married that day. Jiska has invited us to join with her there. {thanks, Jis ^^}

I love this couple so much. They were in relationship, I think, more than 10 years. They have been together since both of them were in school. Rubby was in high school [SMA] and Iin was in junior high school [SMP]. Their relationship were looking so good, less gossip.

So, when I saw them in the stage, I just felt so happy for their marriage as they have "walked" together through years relationship. It's very hard to maintain good relationship with your partner, right? They are successfully passing it.

Seeing their brightly smile and how lovely they are really made me so envy with their happiness. oooooh.....so sweet couple.....^^

Iin sang a song for Rubby, I don't wanna miss a thing - Aerosmith. Then Rubby stood beside her. Iin sang it with her beautiful voice. What a lovely moment!!

When I arrived, the party has started. We met Arif and Yossy, Ali's besties, there. Both were trying to play with Fritz but in the wrong moment. Fritz had just got up from his sleep. So he cried! ^^

In the same moment, I saw Junieke behind me but I couldn't talk much with her as I was having my difficult time to make Fritz comfy with the environment.

Then, we were looking for a place to let Fritz sat down and ate his meal. I saw Tirza, Jiska younger sister. I asked her permission to sit inside the family area as there's the only one place which had lots of chairs and tables.

One by one AdEM's members came nearby and it became the best spot for us to stand and chat together. There were Regina's [Richelle, her mom and her mother in law], Vivi's [Gwen, her mom and her hubby], Yohana and Rubein, Ithine and Erwin and Junieke.

We took some photos by asking one of our classmate, Steven [Gincu] {insisted} to come nearby.

I really enjoyed my time gathering with my besties and saw some oldies friends from high school as we're in the same school before. It's been 10 years since we left the school and all of them were looking so different. I missed my school days moments......

Pre-Nursery : Ff - Foot

Pre-Nursery : Ff - Foot
Fritz is currently 26 months

Alphabet : Letter F

Objects : Foot

Vocabularies : Part of body

Picture : Part of Body

Love...Love this pictures.....

He could mention almost all. He got a little bit confusion when he saw unusual pictures such as the hair (as he didn't have lots of hair, huh! ^^) and the forehead. The most favorite one is the belly picture. He put the pic on his belly! LOL

Activities
*Dough*
He was so enthusiast when he saw a foot on his paper. He showed me many times....

"Mommaaa....look....foot" (in Bahasa)

However, he didn't feel as enthusiast when he's showed me the foot pic when I asked him to make a letter F dough. -__-'

*Paste the Objects*

He knows almost the pictures, except the fire. When he did it, he really loved to apply the glue but not too eager to paste the pictures.

*Coloring Objects*
Yaaaay....

He successfully did it! He colored the pictures one by one with my color guidance so he'll know the real color of those pictures.

*Circle F*
He was so enthusiast to circle the letter F though the day before he refused to do it. He circled all the letter very nice as he knows already this letter as his first letter name, Fritz!

*Color Foot*

Actually, he didn't very into doing it. So, I just asked him to color the nails only. In the middle of his coloring, he suddenly put his right foot on the table to show that he has the same foot as he colored. -__-'

*Matching the Feet*
We did this activity with new way by pasting the pictures right on the shadows using glue. He applied the glue and he found the right pictures. I still helped him to do it but it was a new fun way in matching the pics.

*Feet Puzzle*
He never gets too enthusiast making this puzzle. I ordered him which parts belong and he just followed it [if he's in the good mood].... -__-"

Craft
*Fish*
"Fish!!"

He was so excited when doing it, however he refused to paste the yellow things but willing to paste the eye and fin.

Preparation:
- Blue and yellow construction paper
- red origami paper
- a wiggle eye
- black crayon
- glue

How to do:
1. Make a letter "f" from blue construction paper, size 15 x 20 cm
2. Make a tail and a triangle for the face with yellow construction paper
3. Cut the red origami paper into a small fin
4. Paste the tail and face under the letter f
5. Paste the fin and wiggle eye using glue
6. Add scales around its body

*Frog*
The happy frog....

- Make a big letter F using green construction paper
- Cut 4 legs with light green paper
- Make 2 eyes using black origami paper
- Paste them all as you've seen

*Footprint*

He dislikes this kind of activity that he has to dip his feet or hands in the paint. He's gonna show his disgusting face.

Luckily, when we did it, he was so cooperative. He was giggling when I put his foot on this white paint and after that he asked me to get tissue to clean it up. Then, we went to the bathroom to clean up his both feet using water.

After the paint dried, I paste the letter Ff on it. I think, I made the foot print too far so it's a little bit difficult to paste the letter. ^^

Math : Feet Cards

He's still learning how to recognize the numbers though he could mention orally everyday. I have to show it again and again to him.

Shape : Pasting

I made new shape activity as he seemed getting bored with the routines. I asked him to paste the cut out shapes to a construction paper. Firstly, he was so enthusiast. Few minutes later, he asked me to apply the glue and he pasted the shapes. In the end, he asked me to apply and paste the shapes. *sigh*

Tracing
*Feet*
He did it nicely like usual! ^^

*Letter F*
He's willing to trace this letter with helped from me. He loves the Feet pictures so much. He always pointed the feet every time he saw it. ^^

Role Play
*Car Wash*

Recently, he loves to play as he's doing the washing car. He's always amazed when we're on our way then he saw a car wash place and there's a car was being washing at that time.

He pretended as he was doing the car wash. He put the car high and showered it with water. He also didn't forget to make it dry. All in his imagination!! ^^

*Imaginary Plays*

Recently, he loves to play alone, do some imaginary plays by pretends he's in one condition. The amazing thing is when he made some stories with his plays. Looks so cute seeing him talking to himself.

In this pic, he put the cow on his knee and the sheep was on his feet. He made some story that the cow wasn't willing to help the sheep. The sheep was trying to climb the high mountain to reach up the cow.

One time, he pretended as a make up artist who was doing some make up with Oma. Look at his left hand, he was [pretend] holding a powder while the other hand as a puff. He copies me! ^^

Learning Toys
*Shape Puzzle*

He successfully did it well. He knows mostly the shapes except the rectangle and square. He made the circle as his Cars wheel. ^^

*Barney Driving Wheel*

As it's a new toy for him and he never played with this kind of toys (it's sounding), he played along with it till night and refused to go to sleep...-__-"

*Driving Wheel with Screen*
He played with this wheel for almost half an hour. He enjoyed it so much!!

Fun : Lona's House Blessing
On Tuesday, we have a public holiday and we have an invitation from Poppa's best friend to attend his House Blessing as he has just renovated his house. (Om Vidor and Tante Tia)

Then, we went to his house at Cibubur. It's a long journey. We took almost 2 hours to arrive there as we had a bad traffic jam in the freeway. Luckily, Fritz has his nap time in the car. It's really enough battery for his energy.

Fritz met Lona again. They played in Lona's room with other friends. They were Lona's cousins. Fritz also tried to join with the two big brothers. Both were reading a magazine and Fritz saw there was so many Cars toys inside. He insisted to stay with them as a part of them....hahahahhaha......so cute!

This little cute boy named Gervas, Lona's cousin....(Om Vidor's brother's son).

2nd Bald....

2nd Bald....

Fantastic!!

This was the second time he has a bald hair since his born.

He even asked us to bring him to the barber. Then that day, he went with Opa, Oma and Uncle to somewhere and they stopped by in barber place when they're going home.

Uncle held him and let the barber cutting all his hair. He just sat without any movement. He also didn't cry at all, maybe a little bit afraid hearing the machine sound.

When I arrived home from work, he proudly showed me his new bald head with a big grin.

What a brave boy!!

Lessons from 3 different families

Lessons from 3 different families
One time, I had met some families with different stories of life. I learnt a lot from them.

First family was my ex preschool students' parents. I adore Mommy so much. She has 2 children, a big sister and little brother. The way she raises them makes me amazed. Without nanny, she can handle all the chores and her children in one time. She's my inspiration as a full time mom.

She's not only smart but she's so kind and nice. Her husband was a great person. He worked for one station TV in Jakarta. He's also a humble person.

Though they are very rich, they never show it off to everyone. They are so nice to everyone. The way they talk, the way they act and the way they go with their life are absolutely far from showing off their richness. They really show a down to earth life.

Mommy gave Fritz lots of toys. We seemed to be like just visiting Santa Claus in May. We went home with a big package of toys for Fritz and it's free.

I think it's too exaggerated but I really missed her so much...so when I saw her seemed that I found a diamond. Maybe for her, I wasn't a very her best friend. For me, she's my best friend. She really a best people I've ever met on my life.

I loveeee their family so much. Really my inspiration!! ( I always forgot to take a pic with her and her children when we met =__=)

Then, the second family was Poppa's best friends family. He has a solid big family. He's also a successful man who has a great woman beside.

His big solid family really makes me so envy with him. His parents have successfully taught all their children lots of positive life skills. They always welcome to everyone. When we meet them, they always hug us friendly.

The most important one, all of his big family never showed their underestimate face to us as we aren't in the same level with them.

I love their family-ship....and how friendly they are to everyone.

Really a successful family!

The third one was my aunty and her little family. She shared some her life stories to us, how many ups and downs things happened to them. How they survived with all those problem and solved out. All of her stories were ended with miracles from God. She thought she never couldn't get out from all their problems but in the end, God made the way for them. It's really a big miracle!

I got a lesson from her that how many problems appear in our life, just surrender to God and believe that He will make a way for us. How miracle it is just believe that He's always there for us.

Pre-Nursery : Ee - Eggs
Fritz is currently 25 months 2 weeks

Alphabet : Ee

Vocabularies : Food
Pictures : Food
He LOVES this cards. He knows the names mostly. He also played with these pretending he was eating with spoon and fork, drinking tea and eating some food from there.

This week, he did the role play too by spooning his Opa a soup whether the soup was hot, warm and spicy. He showed some expression while playing it. If the soup was too hot, he would blow it and he's gonna say "it's warm already, Opa" Then suddenly he accidentally spoiled the soup in his spoon.^^

Activities
*Dough*
I made it for him. With his little fingers, he pressed the dough and made sound of letter E

*Paste E objects*
He learned new words, envelope and Earth, as he knows well the rest of those.

*Circle E*

Surprisingly, he wanted to circle the letter E. He made it one by one without any help from me. He did it very well. ^^

*Coloring E objects*
He started to color on the object, though it's still difficult to ask him to color inside the picture. It's a nice progress of him. In that worksheet, he loved the pic of the broken egg. However, he just couldn't able to recognize the envelope.

*Coloring Eggs*
He's drawing the letter E objects, eggs. He started to recognize the letter E as the name of Oma and Momma....

*Matching Eggs*
For this part, he still got confusing. He needed me to guide him to recognize which was the same one.

4. Paste the wiggle eye in the right top of letter E
5. Draw some stripes in the trunk and ear with black crayon

*Sunny Side Up Egg*

First, paste the letter Ee cut outs then paste all the eggs around it.

Tracing
*Eggs*
He's familiar with the first eggs picture. He even colored it when I gave this worksheet to him.

*Letter E*
I showed him a Mickey's pencil and he was so excited. He hurriedly sat on his chair and tried his best to trace the letter E when I gave him this worksheet to him. The first one, I helped him to trace it by asking him to make a line from one egg to other egg. It's quite nice. Then, I asked him to do by himself. The result didn't look as nicely before.

Shape : Eggs Cards
His shape's recognizing is getting well. He knows some shape such as; star, diamond, moon, oval, heart, triangle. \^0^/

Color : Eggs Cards
He didn't show any enthusiast when I asked him to color these cards. He just colored the orange one and the rest was me. =__="

So far he can recognize some colors such as; yellow, red and black.

Workbook
*Tracing straight lines*
Practicing his straight down line as making number 1. He still wasn't able to make it nice and also refused to make it.. -___-"

Learning Toys
*Jungle puzzle*
He asked me to get this puzzle to play. He enjoyed his time by playing it alone. Then, he showed me some animals and able to mention it. He showed me the elephant, zebra, hippo and giraffe.

*Dough*

What a nice day, spending my time till afternoon with Fritz, but the weather wasn't friendly. It's a very hot hot hot day. When I took this pic, the sky was getting gray but it wasn't raining till the next day....=___="

He asked me to sit in the front door and got a dough in hand. We made a Mickey's head, a car and OSO letter. He looked so happy!!

Practical Life : Zipping
Wow...I was so amazed with his progress in zipping. He's able to zip and unzip the cell phone's pocket. It's a little bit hard actually considering the zipper is quite small and there are 3 on it. However, he did it again and again for many times! Zipped...Unzipped....Zipped....Unzipped...^^

Reading : When I Get Sick
I borrowed this book from my work place to help my private student, Laoshi, to practice her pronunciation in English.

Fritz looked at this book and asked me to read for him. He read this book many times. He loves the story about a boy who got sick and his mom was taking care of him.

Mom was very patient and kind. She gave him a medicine, made a pudding, chicken soup, fish porridge, chocolate cake, tea and tickled him too. In the end, Mom was feeling tired and falling asleep. In the next day, the boy was healthy and he brought his mom a breakfast; a sandwich and a milk, to her room.

Miscellaneous
*Eating fried rice*
He didn't want to eat it when I fed him. He chosed to feed himself. He asked me to put his seat and he ate his fried rice by himself with a mug and a tissue near him.

*Playing with Poppa*
Enjoying his night time with Pop....playing with the bolster. He went round and round and did the counting whether in English or Bahasa. Then, he bumped his body to the bolster and fell down. He was laughing happily.

*Playing with Camera*
Taking a picture by himself is a big HIT for him recently. He grabbed my camera and tried to take some pictures of us {Opa, Oma and Mom}. All the pictures were blur whether it's because of his little finger on the lens or he took the pic then he moved the camera few second after that. It's too quick. He has to pause for a while after taking the pic. He still didn't get the concept. That's fine, he just need practicing! ^^
