Pre-Nursery : Pre-Lebaran Holiday

Pre-Nursery : Pre-Lebaran Holiday
Fritz is currently 29 months

The challenge week is almost over in few days next week. So this week, we're just focus on some various activities and also busy making the scrapbook. It's really fun making it. ^^

Math
Now, I tried to apply the poms on the counting cards. Fritz had to put in on the black dots based on the numbers. He learnt how to count the objects. I think he has to try the next numbers, 6 - 10....

Shape

He got bored already with pasting and he did it....just looked at his face....hahahhahaa.......very bored expression!! ^^

I've got this from 1+1+1.

Craft

We had played this paper plane when he was under 2 years and his enthusiast are still the same. As he loves the plane so much, he always likes this activity.

I made the plane and he had to color it with his crayons. Then, we made it fly. He ran here and there to get it. He was so happy playing it.....^^

Cooking

This was our 2nd time making this choco balls. He was so enthusiast helping me as usual. He made the Marie biscuit into crumbs and sieved it nicely using spoon. He made it neatly. Then he poured the condense milk to the crumbs and mixed it though I was not really sure he could do it. In the end, he helped me to roll the balls in the chocolate sprinkles. And tadaaaaa......it's done and have to put it inside the fridge first before we eat it....yummy!!!!

Workbook

Surprisingly, he's willing to do the Math worksheet and was able to make 4 pages that time without grumpy. Mom was so surprised!!!

We started number 3 and before that we completed the counting objects of 1 and 2. He's able to match and trace it nicely based on the objects.

However, he got a little difficulty in tracing the number 3. He asked me to hold his hand and traced it slowly but sure.

Yeaaaaaayyy!!!!

He started to trace the diagonal lines. He's very able to trace it with less help from me. He even tried to make it by his own. Good job, boy!! ^^

Role Play
Recently, his imagination is getting widely. This time, he became an ice cream seller by putting a bolster as the table and another bolster as the chair. Then, he asked me which ice cream flavor I wanted. He instantly made it for me. What a nice imagination you have, boy!! ^^

Gross Motor
He tiptoed....though he needed to hold his beside to help him.....^^

Practical Life
Finally, after looking these poms around, I found it near my mom in law's traditional market. It's very cheaper. I bought 5,000 rupiahs for 25 poms.

We played with these poms today and I asked Fritz to put the poms on the used chocolate plastic cover. Firstly he refused as he's a strict person. He knows well the cover is in the chocolate box and it has to be there, not proper if we use it for toys.

After few second, he changed his mind and tried to apply the poms on it though he looked so grumpy it doesn't proper at all. Hohohohoho......

Fritz has own job that day. Mom wanted to make a chicken hainam rice and Fritz had to wash the grains by himself. He's really willing to do that though it's messy. The water was out from the bowl and puddled around it. It's okay, it's learning, boy! ^^

Learning Toys

Fritz was so addict with Lego. Now, he started to make his own imaginative things. He said that he made an airplane. When it's done, he flied it...."nguuuuuung" *the sound of plane*....^^

In the end, he asked me to make some part of furniture as he wanted to play with the farm animals. I made the bed, kitchen, bathroom set, table and TV.

He enjoyed his Lego time for more than half an hour.....hihihihihiihh......

That day, he insisted to play puzzle and he made it 4 puzzles in a row. He also made it in the next day.

First, he asked for the Mickey's puzzle. This puzzle contains lots of pieces and he needed me to guide the part though some of them he's able to make it by himself.

Then, he asked for the Cars and he made it by his own with less help from me.

The last one was the Pooh. It's the easiest one and he made it all by himself.

Good job!!!!!

Techno

He's a YouTube maniac every time we deal with laptop or computer or even our phone. He always asks us to browse YouTube and insists to watch everything he likes. Mostly he ordered to watch Cars or Mickey.

I've got this site from one of my online friend, Mommy Benn. She taught alphabet to her boy through Starfall sites. I wanna do the same thing as she did. ^^

Fritz was so excited to do the "games". He asked more and more till he got bored already. He could find some correct alphabet in keyboard though I'd to show him where it was. He looked confuse to find it by himself as he didn't get use to with it.

Surprisingly, he could find some unexpected alphabet. I thought he didn't know yet but he does already....good job, boy. It's really a great site for learning Alphabet for Fritz....^^

Miscellaneous

One afternoon when Mom was teaching and Fritz had to stay with Pop at home, Pop asked Fritz out to wash his car. Fritz always feels excited seeing the car was being washed.

The car was put it high and the men were busy to clean up the bottom. Pop said that the men were complained as it's VERY dirty....hahahahhahaa.....sorry, guys, it took almost 6 months we're not washing it. ^^

Then, the car was bathed and they called it snowy bath. It covered by "snow". Pop were busy to take some pics with Fritz. ^_*

And, the car has cleaned already.....

Some of my students adore Fritz so much and one of my students, Tiffany, loves him so much. When she was having her holiday to San Fransisco last school year holidays, she bought Fritz some Cars stuffs; coloring books and stickers.

Fritz was so happy when he received this present from her through me. He colored the pages one by one and couldn't stop it. He also loves the stickers so much but I didn't allow him to paste it any where....

Thanks, Sis Tiffany.....love u too!!

Fun

After I'm done with my private student, I called Fritz to play with him. Calvin said that he wasn't able to manage the puzzles as he didn't really into in puzzle. He had to try. Both of them were busy to complete the puzzle.

After both were done with their 1st project, I gave him the Mickey's puzzle. I liked the way they're communicating each other. Both were trying their best to complete it. ^^

Hang out with Pop after we went to the auto repair car Menteng to change the oil. We went to Central Park for taking the free present from Advance. {we loved the free items ^^}

Fritz was so happy walking in the park. The park itself was located inside the mall but they made it above. It's very nice view and surrounded by cafe. They also provided some fish pool and little waterfalls around. It's really great place as we rarely saw this kind park nearby. ^^

Pre-Nursery : Independence Day

Pre-Nursery : Independence Day
Fritz is currently 28 months 3 weeks

This week, we celebrated Indonesia's Independence Day on 17th August as well we celebrate a year we do the Home Education for Fritz. There's so much we did in a year and Fritz is "growing" so fast in learning. I really happy to write all his learning development here.

During this week, we had lots of Indonesia things and I took lots of time in making scrapbook. SO there's only few pics I had to post.

Traditional Toys

Playing Karet

This game used to be famous in Primary kids. They always played with their friends and sometimes they brought it to school to be played with their friends in the recess time.

Nowadays, I've never seen kids playing with it anymore as they're too busy with the school things. The worst part when the technology era came around year 2000. Everyone are too busy with their gadgets and forgets already with this stuff.

Karet or rubber....the easiest item can be seen everywhere. They hooked one rubber with other rubbers to make a long rope. Then it can be played with 3 or more person with some rules and I forgot already the rules. ^^

It's a very exciting toy every....

Playing Congklak

Congklak is also a traditional toy from Indonesia. I bought this toy for Fritz when we went to Popo's house. We bought it on traditional market for only cost 8000 rupiahs.

Fritz still couldn't understand how to play it, so he just tried to fill the holes with the beads. He's so exciting playing with it. It's also a nice game ever though we just play with two person.

Races

Every Independence day, Indonesia always have some race games in every around our neighborhood. Many kinds of race games are held to celebrate our Independence day.

As Fritz was too small to follow some games, I maintain some games for Fritz that suit for him.

Eating Krupuk race

I tied a rope and tied the krupuk to be eaten by Fritz and Uncle. It's a small part of krupuk actually. Fritz was so excited to join this game. He asked more and more the krupuk to be tied.

The rules of this game actually don't allow the player to hold the krupuk by their hands. They have to put the hands on their backs. The fact, Fritz was too excited and preferred to grab it by his little hands. Again...again, Momma......^^

Marble race

This was an easy game actually, just move the marbles from one place to other place by using a spoon. Fritz wasn't enjoyed so much. He's got frustrated when the marble felt down.

Overall, it's a nice race we had!! ^^

Traditional Food

The most favorite Indonesian food....rujak!!

It's very easy to make. Prepare some fruits, usually we use the colorful and crunchy one such as bengkoang, pineapple, papaya, unripe mango [so sour] etc. We cut it into small pieces and dip it on the sauce. The sauce itself was made from palm sugar and nuts. We crush it together using stone mortar and pestle. We can add some chilies to make it spicy.....

For Fritz, I just made the simple one from his favorite fruits; apple and pear. He cut it by himself using a plastic knife and eagerly dipped it on the sauce. "yummy" ^^
Gross Motor
Fritz is an extraordinary boy. He doesn't really like swimming...
{what?! some of moms are gonna raise the eyebrow....^^}

Yes, I know it's weird enough as EVERY kids like water, swimming time, having fun with water and ALL about playing with water.

Fritz loves to play with water, loves to stay in his tub during his bath time and it's really takes lots of time to ask him out from it.

Buuuuuuut never asking him to go inside the pool....he's gonna scream so loudly if I ask so....He just has his fun to stay around the pool rather than play inside.

For him, swimming is really a nightmare. He prefers to play around the pool than go inside it. ~__~"

So this activity is one of my "therapy" for him to be familiar with water. Hopefully, one day he's gonna ask me cheerfully to go to one of water park as me and my hubby are dreaming of it....

*Visiting Higuain*

Fritz was so amazed when he saw this baby. He is one of Mom's best friend's son. He just born on 11 August. He looked so cute and looked like Fritz before. Mom was really missed the moment when Fritz was still baby. The time flies really fast.....

*Bazaar*

Fritz has came to Bazaar as Mom and Pop had a stand there. He's got a free milk from Energen, of the stand there. He really enjoyed so much as it's his first time he drank that kind of cereal milk....till the last drops! ^^

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah

Facing an Indonesia's Independence Day, I asked Ali n Fritz to go to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah as our field trip. This was one of my project to introduce all about Indonesia besides introducing him another things about Indonesia.

I ever went there when I was in my previous work before, so it's gonna be my guidance.

We started the journey around 8.30 AM. Then, suddenly, Ali said that one of our tire was flatted! I've a little bit disappointed but....ahaaaa!! It's gonna be another lesson for Fritz to know how to patch the tire.

Fritz was really excited showing the man patched his Pop's tire. He couldn't stop looking at him, he looked so curios.

And, the journey was begun....

We had to face the heavy traffic jam to pass the West Jakarta. It took almost an hour and Pop was really bored already. Hihihihii....

We arrived at Taman Mini around 11. We were so amazed that they had successfully built this kind of place where we can find all about Indonesia here in a such big area they have. However, there's really a few people around here. I mean, it's really rare, maybe not more than 100 visitors at that time. In that big place, the situation was so silent with less people around.

First place we visited was Taman Kebudayaan Tionghoa Indonesia. It was a place that we can see all about Chinese things as Indonesia has some Chinese citizen inside.

They are still on doing the projects. So many workers there and we had to face the hot sunlight too. We took some pictures there although the camera was suddenly unfriendly with us.

Then, we moved to Transportation Museum. It's only us, there's no one here. To be honest, I was a little bit afraid with this condition..^^ Thankfully, there's a guard who wanted to guide us to walk around. We took some pictures too there. Fritz was amazed with the real helicopter and trains. He said that's Thomas. Hohohohohoho....^^

It's lunch time and we've got hungry already. Thankfully, I had prepared some lunch and snacks for us. We had our lunch inside the car.

After we finished our lunch, we went to The Freshwater Aquarium. We had to pay for 15,000 rupiahs each person and Fritz wasn't as he's still under 3 years old.

We walk around to see some freshwater fish but Fritz wasn't so enthusiast as before. We took almost an hour there. They provided a free-pass ticket to Insects museum.

Then, we went around again, seeing some traditional house from Indonesia.

we're in Bali

We stopped by at Vihara. It's looked so nice but we didn't go inside as we had to take off the shoes.
in front of Vihara

Actually, I asked Pop to ride the Sky Lift but Fritz already tired and got to sleep already. So, we decided to go home. We had spent more than 5 hours there though there's only few places were opened.

It's very recommended place for kids to visit....^^

Pre-Nursery : Letter Mm

Pre-Nursery : Letter Mm
Fritz is currently 28 months 2 weeks

Alphabet : Mm

Theme : Small Mammals

Picture
He showed lots of refusal. He took lots of time while making it. He didn't excited....

ABC

We started the week with letter M for Mouse.

First, like usual, we made the letter M with dough. He still wasn't able to roll the dough by himself but he love poking it.

Then, we continued by tracing the letter M. He did it nicely and tried to join the lines.

After that, I asked him to color the objects that related with letter M. There were Mouse, Monkey, Moon and Mitten. He showed some refusal. He didn't want to color it though I've persuaded him. -__-'

However, he loved the tracing lines. He willingly made it without any refusal.

The last one was coloring the big Mouse and again he refused to color it. He just colored it little here and little there...soooo fussy!!! @__@

So we ended the lesson after that.....

Activity
*Matching the Mice*

I've got this material from A Heart for Home....

He liked this activity. He wanted to paste it all by himself! ^^

Then we continued with the material from 1+1+1....it was just 3 parts of Mouse and he had to paste the upper with lower M by looking at the shadow pictures. He also made it nicely...

*Matching Mice Footprints*

It' a new activity for him. He has to match the mice footprints. He's so eager doing it and also so excited....^^

*Mouse Puzzle*

New activity for him and he loves this puzzle so much........^^

He made all by himself!!

Cooking

He made his own breakfast, choco peanut bread. He applied the peanut butter by himself and mostly he ate itself than he applied it on the bread....-__-' He also liked to put the chocolate sprinkles by himself and again, he tried to eat it and I must to stop him doing that....^^

Nothing to do this Saturday morning......so we decided to make Pudding. We poured the water, add the jelly powder and some sugar on the pan. He stirred it first before I turned on the stove. While he's waiting, I asked him to put some colorful jelly into the jelly place.

Something bad happened....when I poured the hot jelly into the place, the some colorful jelly melted!! uuuuuhhhh.....what kind of my stupidity!!!! ~__~

Art

After he finished with the Nuts and Bolts, he asked me to do stamping with those. I prepared blue, red and yellow paints and a paper. He felt free to stamp and was so excited. ^^

Practical Life

I tried a new activity for Fritz but he didn't so into in it. I prepared 4 different shape and color of nuts and bolts. I asked him to match to the correct one. He just made the blue one then he refused to continue the rest.

New activity again for Fritz. I asked him to play with the locks. He has to find the key then open the locks. I think, he's not ready for it. Besides the locks are so big and heavy, he also even couldn't find the right key to open and lil bit confuse how to unlock it.

Then, he preferred to apply the key to the keyhole. He loves this so much. He did it again and again.....^^

Miscellaneous

Suddenly it's black out when we're still on doing his work. As we didn't do anything, he followed Oma to upstairs. He insisted to "help" Oma cleaning up the storage.

We've found lots of hidden treasure from the past. Oma still kept so many Uncle's toys when he's still young. Fritz was so excited that he got lots of toys from it. He even tried to help Oma washing the treasures. ^^

The black out took times and we didn't have anything to do. He couldn't sleep as it's so hot. He couldn't play too as it's dark.

So, I decided to ask him out and we asked Oma to follow with us. We went to Hypermart. Like usual, he's so excited going there.

After we took some walks, suddenly, he held my hand and asked me to buy fried rice for him in its food court. Oooow....he's getting hungry, I thought. Then, I bought him a plate of fried rice and he insisted to eat it by himself. ^^ {the plate even looked bigger than his face!! LOL}

Fun

This weekend, we spent the day in Popo's house to follow a Chinese tradition. Together with great-grandmother [pothai], we arrived at Popo's house around 1 o'clock in the noon. There's Popo's little brother with his family. He has 3 children and they're Fritz's uncles and aunty....^^
Fritz was so happy playing with them....
