Butterfly's Metamorphosis

Butterfly's Metamorphosis
Recently, I and Fritz had a little project of simple science. Starting from one of my best role in homeschooling, Sis Ratna, she showed me how she adores these insects so much. I was also falling in love seeing these beautiful creatures. Then I decided to learn together with Fritz knowing more about its metamorphosis.

We learnt how to see a caterpillar to be a chrysalis or cocoon then being a beautiful butterfly. Firstly, we had a little difficulty to find the caterpillar. It's hard to find it everywhere because of my lack skill about it. LOL.

Then, Sis Ratna gave me 2 pretty caterpillars. I bought these to Alpha, my work field. Some of students were so enthusiast with them though some were a bit scared. They wanted to see how they ate the leaves. I was so unlucky that I couldn't see those being butterflies. Both of them were died few days after they were being chrysalis. I failed!

I was still curious. Then, I asked Fritz to have a walk in the afternoon. I also brought a cage for it. After few times we tried, finally we found a caterpillar. Here's my first one. We're so enthusiast that we saw the stages till it's being a pretty butterfly.

Then my private students suddenly gave me this caterpillar and a gold chrysalis. I kept the chrysalis and I asked him to take care the caterpillar. Here's my second butterfly. Great one!

And the last one, I found lots of caterpillars around of a palm tree in my work fields. It's really lots of! More than 15 caterpillars and chrysalis I had. One by one being a butterfly in every single day. So happy seeing them flying to the new world.

It's really a process of our homeschooling. Learning from everything! :D

I put the project at Project Noah.

There's a cafe near Oma's house, KOKI cafe. They gave a big promotion, selling a Rp1,- bread every Wednesday. Of course, I was so enthusiast hearing it.

So early in the morning, I asked Fritz to wake up and hurriedly we went there. On our way, I assumed that there's gonna be lots of people who had same enthusiast as I did. Then I said to Fritz, if there's too much people, we had to back home without getting any bread.

Ohh....I was totally wrong. There's only us who had big passion in Rp1,- bread!! LOL

It's Fritz who was eagerly eating his pizza bread. He's trying to finish it though it's a bit spicy.....:D

Fun

This weekend, we didn't get back to our apartment. We had something to do around that noon. During the evening, after we went home from church, we had an invitation from Om Arief to come to his house. He cooked Lontong Cap Gomeh. Wohoooo......

It's the first time for Fritz to go by motorcycle with us in the real way - usually only around the neighborhood.  Using a cap and jacket, Fritz was sitting between us. He was so thrilled!!

Fritz was happy playing with Om Arief. He was totally happy as Om Arief could entertain him very well. Both were busy playing with cars. Fritz also said that he's going to show off his Buzz to Om Arief. OMG!! ^_^

Ash Wednesday

Together with me, Fritz followed an Ash Wednesday Mass. He has getting used with this routine, going to the church to follow the mass. This time was quite different that he had to be marked using ash in his forehead. Thanks God, he didn't show any complain. He even said to me not to let the ash gone. Good boy!

Practical Life

Actually it's purely just eating the sweets from his Popo that we called it Kamla. Usually he just ate it once in a year during Chinese New Year only. This time, he wanted to eat by himself. So I think it's the best time for him to learn how to eat it and take the seed out all by himself. It's just like learn how to eat an orange. :D

Miscellaneous

After we went from church, I asked Fritz to join the free trial of Sempoa. He was so excited as long as I was staying right there. He learnt how to use the material. Though it's new for him, he wanted to learn. Too bad, he didn't as excited as before. Maybe it's too much drills for him that I've never did it to him while we're learning. We're just studying for only half an hour everyday, but this time he had to do math for almost 45 minutes with the same material. We decided not to join with it. :D

CU Bererod Gratia

CU Bererod Gratia

There's a new hope through this CU - Credit Union.

Once, we had a great talk with a friend of Ali. She told us about Credit Union during our way from Rafael's birthday to our apartment. Though there's not much she could share and in the end I asked her again through BBM, I just thought that GOD sent her for us to have this hope.

Then, I asked Ali to go there together to be a member of it. I'm glad that we know this. I have a dream now and hopefully one day our dream will come true. *crossfingers*

Craft

This time, we had an Under Sea Project. I've got the idea from Pinterest and the other resources. Then I've this idea. :P This project was quite easy and used cheap materials.

For the background:
I used an Indomie cardboard that I could find easily at my home. Then I covered the base with blue manila carton. We decorated with seaweed from green asturo paper and dolphins sequences.

The actors:
Crab, turtle, jellyfish and whales were using egg carton that I've got it from traditional market near us. We colored the shells using paint. Fritz helped me coloring those. And I also needed colorful pipe cleaners and wiggle eyes.

For the fishes, I drew it by myself and I asked Fritz to color using his crayons. Paste the eyes and I pasted it using tape and silver string.

Now it seemed like a small miniature under the sea. Yeaaah....^_^

Fun

Happy Chinese New Year! Please welcome......Snake Year!
