Chinese New Year 2013

Celebrating Chinese New Year in our family is a must. Everyone was welcoming this day with new shirts as a symbol of new beginning. Everyone has same prayer to be more lucky through this new coming year. Children were also happy waiting for their angpao (hong pao or red packets). :)

Thanks to God that we still have another year again. Last Dragon year really brought us a lot of miracles to us. So many great things happens. Full of bless!

This year let's we coming a Snake Year. To be honest I really don't like this symbol. SNAKE....uggghhh.....I hate this animal so much. And the worst one is snake and pig weren't meant to be. There will be some bad luck for pig (Chinese Zodiac) through Snake year. Hopefully it won't happen to me. Hush...hush....go away bad luck!

Fritz was one of the happy people that day. He woke up with his new shirts, Cars pajamas, that he wanted to wear so much. Then, it's time for us preparing all the things, including the red packets for the kids or person who doesn't get married yet.

It's time to do the routines, the youngers have to honor or respect the elder by doing gong xi. First, I and Ali did the gong xi to my parents and said some wishes like hope this year both of them are getting more health, prosperous and happiness. Then, my brother did the same things to my parents and us. And the last was Fritz. He had to gong xi to every members to get the red packets. LOL.

After that, we had to pick up my MIL and BIL. Once again, Fritz did the gong xi again to both of them. Not longer then, we had to go to Pramuka, Ali's paternal's family. We're the first family approaching there.

So happy to see that Fritz was change and their perception about Fritz was also change. He's no longer a cranky kid but he's a caring boy who can treat a little baby very well. That baby is Ali's brother's daughter. Fritz was trying to make her smile by doing some silly face. You have to see the way he did. SO funny!! LOL

Next, around 2 PM, we had to go again to my paternal's family at Kemayoran. There were lots of family had arrived. It's time for giving some red packets to them. It's just like a market who trade the red packets. I had to give to the elder then the elder gave a red packet too to Fritz. So busy! :D

We stayed quite longer in Kemayoran, till almost 5 PM before in the end we had to go to the 3rd place, Ali's maternal's family at Citra 5. Again, the trader was happening again at this place, but it's not as much as before. :D

We decided to go home to our apartment as the next day we had to do a personal thing. Here's the red packets that Fritz got.
