The casts in Cars

Lets get familiar with the characters:

Lightning McQueen

Disney_toys_cars_Lightning_McQueen

Lightning McQueen is a hotshot rookie racecar, poised to become the youngest car ever to win the Piston Cup Championship. He has just two things on his mind: winning and the perks that come with it. Fame, money, groupies, helicopters... it's everything he's dreamed of, but that's about the change. When McQueen gets lost in the forgotten town of Radiator Springs, he's introducted to a group of new friends that challenge him to reconsider the car he wants to be.

Doc Hudson

Disney_toys_cars_Doc_Hudson

Doc Hudson is a 1951 Hudson Hornet, a seemingly quiet country doctor who runs the local "medical clinic" (mechanic shop) in Radiator Springs. Though he's a car of few words, Doc is respected and admired by the townsfolk for the way he looks out for their health and tends to their aches and pains. Doc ends up teaching McQueen lessons he can apply both on and off the track.

Mater

Disney_toys_cars_Mater

Mater is a good ol' boy with a big heart and the only tow truck in Radiator Springs. Mater runs Tow-Mater Towing and Salvage and manages the local impound lot. Though a little rusty, he has the quickest towrope in Carburetor County and is always the first to lend a helping hand. Mater sees the bright side of any situation and is the first to befriend McQueen.

Sally Carrera

Disney_toys_cars_Salley_Carrera

Sally is a beautiful 2002 Porsche 911 from California who grew tired of life in the fast lane and made a new start in the small town of Radiator Springs. Charming, intelligent, and witty, she is the town attorney and the car most dedicated to preserving and reviving the town with the hopes that one day it will get "back on the map."

Ramone

Disney_toys_cars_Ramone

Ramone is a 1959 Impala low-rider who owns and operates Ramone's House of Body Art, the local custom body and paint shop. Ramone is an artist - a true magician with paint and metal, but he hasn't had anyone to paint in years. So for now, his only canvas is himself; he repaints himself daily.

Luigi

Disney_toys_cars_Luigi

Luigi runs the local tire shop in Radiator Springs, Luigi's Casa Della Tires. If you're gonna be driving through this world, why not look good doing it? That's Luigi's motto. Cars may not get to choose their body type, but they all have a choice when it comes to the tires they wear. Luigi offers the finest selection of tires west of the Mississippi, and Luigi's Casa Della Tires is known far and wide for its impeccable service, competitive prices, and of course, its very stylish proprietor.

Sheriff

Disney_toys_cars_Sheriff

"There's a long history of law enforcement in sherrif's family. His father was a traffic cop. His aunt, his two cousins on his mother's side, his little brother...even his grandfather was a traffic cop, directing traffic at Times Square in New York around the turn of the century. Sheriff always knew he too would be a cop. After all how many other options did he have with a name like Sheriff?"

Fillmore

Disney_toys_cars_Fillmore

Fillmore is a 1960 Volkswagen bus with psychedelic symbols and liberal/environmental bumper stickers on his body. Fillmore is a strong advocate of natural products and makes his living by selling organic fuel behind his neon dome, painted similarly to himself. His lawn is allowed to grow free with no mowing or pruning, and he also creates his own lawn ornaments from scrap. He believes that organic, renewable fuel would be more widespread were it not for a conspiracy involving the major oil companies controlling the government. Fillmore was originally going to be named Waldmire, after a Route 66 resident, but Waldmire, a vegan, did not want his name used because Fillmore toys would be featured in Happy Meals at McDonalds. Fillmore is a fan of Jimi Hendrix, and plays his version of the Star Spangled Banner every morning, much to the frustration of his neighbor Sarge. Despite their differences and frequent arguing, they appear to be close friends. As revealed in the video games, Fillmore is both a pacifist and a Pisces. In the Cars movie, Fillmore is voiced by the late George Carlin, who based the voice of the bus on his stand up character Al Sleet the Hippy Dippy Weather Man.

"Fillmore is Radiator Springs' resident hippie. A believer in individuality and all things natural, he brews his own organic fuel and preaches its many benefits. Visitors can try Fillmore's special flavors in the tasting room behind his love-bead and tie-dye-covered geodesic dome. His many conspiracy theories and "naturally" unkept yard drive his neighbor Sarge absolutely crazy."

Sarge

Disney_toys_cars_Sarge

Sarge is a 1941 Willys military Jeep. He proudly served in World War 2 (his license plate reads "41WW2") and received the Grille Badge of True Mettle for towing a tank to safety in the Battle of the Bulge. He now lives in Radiator Springs and runs Sarge's Surplus hut, where he sells military surplus and his own Mother Road Survival Kit, guaranteed to get you through the next world war should you break down. He believes firmly in order and has his lawn perfectly manicured and mowed twice a day. Every morning he plays a rousing rendition of Reveille and raises the American flag, only to be interrupted by his neighbor Fillmore who simultaneously plays Hendrix's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Despite their constant bickering, Sarge and Fillmore appear to be close friends. Sarge is voiced by Paul Dooley.

"Ask Sarge about his military service and he'll regale you with stories of daring fearlessness! Like the time his tank friend lost his track in The Battle of the Bulge and Sarge had to tow him to safety. For his bravery, Sarge received the Grille Badge of True Mettle! It's displayed front and center at Sarge's Surplus Hut, side by side with Sarge's own brand of The Mother Road survival kit. He guarantees that if you break down, this kit will help you get through the night and maybe the next world war, and it all stows nicely in your trunk."

Flo

Disney_toys_cars_Flo

Flo is a 1950's show car - a sassy, no-nonsense lady, with the biggest heart in town. She runs the local diner, Flo's V-8 Cafe, the only gas station for miles around, where she still serves the "finest fuel in fifty states." While traveling across country as a glamorous Motorama girl, Flo passes through Radiator Springs and met Ramone. It was love at first sight and the two have been married ever since.

Guido

Disney_toys_cars_Guido

"Like his boss Luigi, Guido is an avid Ferrari racing fan who dreams of performing a real pit stop on a real race car. To better prepare himself, he practices tire changes at night on wooden practice frames he built in his garage. One of these days, he hopes to set a new world record for the fastest pit stop of all time. But until that happens, he continues his quest to further enlighten himself. Currently, Guido is reading Tire Changes for the Soul, and Four Tires, One Goal.

"Guido isn't just pretty fast with a tire, he's pretty creative with one too, or even with ten.

Lizzie

Disney_toys_cars_Lizzie

"When Lizzie first rolled into Radiator Springs in 1927, it was love at first sight - love for the town and love for Stanley the town founder. But she kept Stanley on the soft shoulder for months. Until one day she realized that Stanley's vision for a new oasis in the desert had enraptured her too. From that day on, the two became the inseparable heart and soul of the town."
