Kebun Raya Bogor

This weekend we had a public holiday. We decided to spend a day having an outdoor activity in Kebun Raya Bogor.

Actually we wanted to go there by train. I think it's gonna be a great trip if we went there by train. We'd collected all the data; the ticket price, how long the train will move, which station we should go, what time it will arrive in the station. After we considered then we decided not using a train but car.

First, it's because the next day we would have a WO again and we, of course, gonna feel tired after this trip. Then, we couldn't go mobile after that, as we wanted to have lunch time outside there. And next, if Fritz felt tired, we had to carry him on us. He's not a baby anymore and he's heavy now. So...we decided to go there just by car. :D :D

We started our trip early in the morning, 6 AM. We woke Fritz up and he was so excited. Of course, he didn't take a bath. He preferred to change his outfit only.:D

Then the trip had begun..

Fritz and his breakfast, a bread with chocolate's sprinkles.

The traffic thankfully in control. We arrived at Bogor around 7.30 and we had to find a parking lot. There's a bit quarrel between me and Ali when looking for it. Finally, Ali decided to park his car in McD's parking lot.

We just needed to walk a bit before crossing the way to the front gate of Kebun Raya Bogor. They had celebrated their {a hundred and so on, I didn't remember} birthday, so we're just paid a half price for the ticket and Fritz didn't pay. It costed 14,000 rupiahs. Wohooo....

We entered the gate and we had a map in front of us. It's a guidance for us as KBR is very a BIG place to walk.
The map!

We're just walking around. The nice place to have picnic is in Astrid Garden. It's a very nice place where everyone put their picnic basket and had leisure time there. Lots of people around here. They were playing ball with kids, cycling the bike or even just sitting and looking around.

Father and Son moment

Me and my big butt LOL

I asked Ali to capture me from behind just to see how big is my butt. :D Then it's really became a nice picture. Hahahahaha.....

Fritz had captured us. Nice!

We're keep moving till we found a Red Hanging Bridge, the phenomenal bridge. Many couples have their wedding photos with it's as the background. Never ask me to pass it, okay! The river down there was very heavy. So scary!!

Fritz said to me, "Don't be afraid, Mama! It's just a bridge." Yeah it's only a bridge, but please looking down, son. Ughhh......scary!! LOL

One of my friend also was in KBR to have outdoor activity with her 1st son, Kenzie. Kenzie is an autism boy and really needs an outdoor activity every weekend. So here we were with Aline, my gorgeous and adorable friend with two boys. She's so pretty, isn't she? ^_^

So, we went back to Astrid Garden to meet Aline and her kids. In front of Astrid Garden, Fritz had his ice cream that we bought for 2,000 rupiahs only. The man who sell it was very old and he was so thankful that we bought his ice cream. I always feel pity for an old man who still has his spirit for earning money for his life, not only asking from his children.

After Fritz finished with his ice cream, he said he wanted to play with Kenzie. He ran straight to Kenzie that the field was a bit high and low. I do really love this moment where Fritz ran so powerful to go up there seeing Kenzie.
We're just having a short meeting with Aline as she had to pick up Christian, her hubby in Sentul. As it's getting noon, so we also decided to go out from KBR together.

We had our lunch in a small restaurant, Ngohiang Gg Aut, but it's very famous. My boys were so hungry so much, both were gobbling their lunch very fast. LOL

Mama and Toge Goreng, yum!

After we had our lunch, we went to the in front of the restaurant. There are lots of roadside hawkers who sell many kinds of snacks along the way. I bought Manisan Pala for my Mom and me. Then, we decided to buy Asinan Bogor for my parents and Roti Unyil for Fritz.

...and the trip was over. We went back to Jakarta around 2 o'clock. The traffic was very friendly to us, while  the traffic wasn't to Puncak.

We didn't need an expensive trip for having fun. With less than 250,000 rupiahs we'd already had our day. What inexpensive trip!! Wohooooooo..............
